PGSS

NEANY is a leader in Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems (PGSS). The PGSS program is a tethered aerostat implementation, developed in response to Joint Urgent Operational Need (JUON) and Urgent Operational Need (UON) requirements. The PGSS provides perimeter defense, counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED) detection, and force protection for forces operating at Forward Operating Bases (FOB) in austere mountainous environments. PGSS received special recognition as Outstanding Rapid Fielding Impact JCTD in September 2010 by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.
