Electro-mechanical engineers perform a variety of tasks such as reading blueprints to determine the ways and sequences to assemble equipment. They use tools such as microscopes, power tools, oscilloscopes and soldering irons to assemble and align equipment. Electro-mechanical engineers ensure that the specifications and dimensions are correct and then conduct performance tests. They record the information about the performance test, such as any defects, and they analyze the information. Electro-mechanical engineers also prepare reports
